This is the first step and certification in training to become a helicopter pilot. This program is the foundation of your training and the beginning of your dream. Your introduction to flight and aircraft begin here. After successful completion of this certification, more advanced ratings are available to earn after the private license.
An instrument rating is generally the next step forward after earning your private rotor-wing license. During this course we will teach you how to fly without outside visual references relying solely on your helicopter’s instrument panel. Longhorn’s instrument rating course is rigorous but necessary to make you a safer and more capable pilot.
Do you want to become a career helicopter pilot? If so, a commercial helicopter license is required to fly for compensation. During this course you will practice advanced techniques in flight and safety and become a more skilled pilot.
