Embraer Foundation Donates $25,000 to Support Future Embraer A&P Mechanics at US Aviation Academy
Investing in the Next Generation of Aviation Maintenance Professionals
Denton, Texas — The Embraer Foundation has made a significant investment in the future of aviation maintenance by donating $25,000 to US Aviation Academy in support of A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) education. These funds have been approved for scholarships for students enrolled at the Denton, TX campus, helping them pursue their dream careers as Embraer A&P Mechanics and certified aviation maintenance technicians.
This contribution will help train and prepare students for rewarding technical careers in the aviation industry — a field currently experiencing one of the most critical skilled labor shortages in history. Through this partnership, Embraer and US Aviation Academy are creating direct pathways for aspiring mechanics to receive the education and hands-on experience they need to work on today’s advanced aircraft systems, including Embraer’s expanding fleet of E-Jets.
“This generous support from Embraer Foundation represents a shared commitment to aviation excellence,” said a US Aviation Academy spokesperson. “By helping students become qualified Embraer A&P Mechanics, Embraer is not only investing in workforce development but in the safety and innovation that define modern aviation.”
Embraer Expands Its North Texas Footprint with New MRO Facility
Coinciding with the scholarship announcement, Embraer held a groundbreaking ceremony to begin construction on its new Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility for commercial jets at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas.
The event brought together Embraer executives, local officials, and aviation partners to celebrate the start of this major expansion project. Scheduled to open by 2027, the new state-of-the-art hangar will increase Embraer’s U.S. maintenance capacity by 53% — a vital move that reinforces the need for more certified Embraer A&P Mechanics and technical specialists across Texas.
The investment, expected to reach up to $70 million, will also create approximately 250 new skilled aviation jobs in the region. With the opening of this advanced MRO facility, Embraer continues to demonstrate its long-term commitment to U.S. aviation infrastructure, workforce development, and customer support.
“Texas is becoming one of the most important aviation hubs in the world,” said an Embraer representative during the ceremony. “Our new MRO facility and partnerships with training institutions like US Aviation Academy ensure we’ll have a strong pipeline of Embraer A&P Mechanics ready to support our operations and airline customers for decades to come.”
Partnering to Build the Future of Embraer A&P Mechanics
The Embraer Foundation’s donation to US Aviation Academy aligns with a broader mission to inspire and equip the next generation of aircraft maintenance professionals. For students pursuing an A&P license, this scholarship provides not only financial relief but also a direct link to a global manufacturer recognized for excellence in aircraft design, technology, and reliability.
As Embraer continues to expand its footprint in North Texas, the demand for qualified Embraer A&P Mechanics will only increase. Students trained through US Aviation Academy’s FAA-approved Part 147 A&P Program will be well-positioned to enter the aviation workforce, especially as Embraer’s Fort Worth MRO begins operations.
The partnership symbolizes how aviation education and industry collaboration can create real opportunities for students — while simultaneously strengthening the aviation maintenance pipeline in the United States.
