Lone Star College Pilot Program

The Lone Star College Pilot Program allows aspiring pilots to earn an Associate's Degree and begin their aviation career. This program partners with the US Aviation Academy and offers a collegiate pathway enriched with FAA-approved airline pilot courses leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree in Professional Pilot. Students attending the Lone Star College Pilot Program will also earn necessary certification by completing Private, Commercial, Certified Flight Instructor-Airplane (CFI-A) and Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFI-I) along with the instrument and multi-engine ratings.

Associate of Applied Science Professional Pilot Degree

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) through the Lone Star College Pilot Program is a two-year program training for FAA certificates. Students will take general education courses and classes tailored to the aviation industry. The program is designed to prepare the individual for a career as a commercial pilot by earning eligibility to take Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) license/certification exams for Private Pilot certification, Instrument rating, Commercial Pilot certification, multi-engine rating, Certified Flight Instructor-Airplane (CFI-A), and Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFI-I).

Professional Pilot Level II Certificate

The Professional Pilot Level II Certificate is a three-month program for students to complete coursework and flight training needed to prepare for FAA certifications of Private Pilot, Instrument, and Commercial certificates.
